| The
Role of A Resident Service Coordinator
The
Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) is an integral member
of the property management team in housing. The RSC links

The
Profession of Resident Service Coordination
The field of Resident Service Coordination is evolving.
In the 1990's there emerged a new realization that housing
is more than "just bricks and mortar". It became
clear that if affordable housing communities are to be successful,
they must address the human service needs of all residents.
In the new millennium this concept has become known as Service-Enriched
Housing.

Resident
Service Coordination is Key
to Service-Enriched Housing
|
Resident
Service Coordination involves responsibilities and roles
that are as diverse as the population they serve and the
organizations, companies and agencies involved. Roles
included in this field are identified by various titles
such as Family Self Sufficiency Coordinators, Assisted
Housing Service Coordinators, Directors of Resident Services
and Resident Social Services.
The
evolving field of Resident Service Coordination is the
"linchpin" that brings together residents, property
management, community, and local resources, all working
toward the goal of service-enriched housing.
